INNODIA ran a second INNODIA trial with Verapamil. This known blood pressure lowering drug has been shown to protect and strengthen beta cells and slowing down beta cell destruction in T1D. 120 recruited patients aged between 18 and 45 years, are taking tablets for 1 year and remain in follow-up for another year.
